Thoughts

I did not get Andy christmas card from your family this year and I understood that something had happened. I med Chris 1970 and we have sent cards since then. He and his friend came to Gävle in Sweden too. Thank you for telling me what had happened. All my thoughts to Chris family. Christina in Sweden

Many a mile I cycled with Chris and every one was a joy to be in his company. Chris had a tremendous love of everything to do with nature . Cycling along Chris would shout out Buzzard and we would all look up. Chris loved sharing his knowledge with everyone. In July eight of the cycling group cycled around Arran Chris pointing out where his BB had camped. On the boat home we all sat on the top deck in the sunshine it had been a perfect day and one I will always remember. It's not the amount of time that you have in your life that matters its the amount that you waste that counts.Chris did not waste any of his time. Alan McDowall

It was lovely to be part of todays celebration with you guys. And funny how the comments made in the tributes are so true! I remember Chris always marching ahead on any hill walks ( i was only 12 probably) Once he insisted on showing me his sound set up in his lounge. And when I met Chris recently he made a point of telling me had cycled to Fenwick (maybe even twice) and back. A few years ago I made a comment about how lovely his hostas were in his garden and he duly brought a few round for me - still going well under my fathers green fingers (and mothers orders) hope to see you soon Alan B x
